About Palace Norton Street
Contact & About
Find yourself getting caught up in movie festival fever at Palace Norton, the only place to catch the French, Spanish, Italian, Persian, and who-knows-what-other-nations’ respective film festivals. Why not accompany your latest fave foreign language movie with another country’s wine, at the licensed bar?
A converted tile factory, the cinema located in Sydney’s inner-west “Little Italy” is most memorable for its gorgeous lighting, which beckons warmly into the streetfront outside. In fact, the building’s combination of rugged and refined has earned it the 1999 Dulux Colour Award and the 2000 Metal Building Award of Merit.
It’s been one of Palace’s most loved and popular venues for the last 20 years, with live acoustic and jazz music on some Friday nights starting each weekend with style. If you consider yourself a foreign film fan in Sydney, you must have first seen a film in these elegant auditoriums.
Getting Here, Map & Parking
A few bus routes (438X, 440, 445, 483) stop near Leichhardt Public School just two minutes away by foot, and Leichhardt’s North Light Rail station is a longer 17 minute walk. From Summer Hill you can also take the T2 train line to arrive at Petersham, about a 15 minute walk from Palace Norton.
A $14 flat rate for four hours parking is offered to cinema patrons: this parking can be accessed directly below the building.
