One of the largest showcases of Jewish cinema in the world, the annual Jewish International Film Festival (or as it’s more snappily known, JIFF) is screening in cinemas across Australia from October 24—December 7. For the first time, theatres in Hobart and Gold Coast will also be included in the fun, bringing a star-studded lineup of 52 thought-provoking features to the big screen.
To celebrate, JIFF and Flicks are collaborating to give out 5 double passes to selected screenings in this year’s festival, like the Fiddler On The Roof doco Fiddler’s Journey To The Big Screen, narrated by the iconic Jeff Goldblum.
The passes admit two, and are not eligible for opening or closing night screenings, but as you can tell from the festival trailer below there’s plenty of famous faces and stirring new stories to choose from. One of the most glitzy headliners is James Gray’s new film Armageddon Time, starring Anthony Hopkins, Anne Hathaway, and Jeremy Strong.
