Henry Fonda stars in Sidney Lumet’s Oscar-nominated court case classic about a seemingly cut-and-dry murder case: eleven jurors believe the teen is guilty, one juror does not. Set entirely within the jury room, Juror #8 (Fonda) feels that there might be room for reasonable doubt despite the overwhelming evidence. As he makes his case frustration grows, arguments get heated and hidden personal demons are revealed.
This is filmmaking legend Lumet's first feature film. The story is based on a 1954 teleplay written by Reginald Rose, which was turned into a stageplay the following year.
