28 Days Later

In this Danny Boyle-directed horror set 28 days after the release of a highly contagious virus, a courier wakes from a coma in London to find the city empty of people... almost. 

After he wakes up in St Thomas' Hospital, Jim (Cillian Murphy) wanders the streets of London before encountering a group of people infected with a virus filling them with rage and making them extremely violent—not supernatural, but zombie-like (though very fast). Rescued by two of the few human survivors, Jim tries to flee the city with them, the group heading towards the source of a military radio transmission. But with society broken down, and the rage virus spread throughout the country, he will find humanity in short supply.
