A French made, English speaking live action/animated kids flicks. Freddie Highmore (‘Charlie And The Chocolate Factory’) plays Arthur, a day dreaming boy whose thoughts are filled with his grandfather’s long-ago adventures in Africa via a detailed notebook he’d compiled before his death. It’s 1960 and Arthur and his broke grandma (Mia Farrow, ‘Rosemary’s Baby’) face eviction. Arthur realises that if he can retrieve some precious rubies, that his grandpa’s notebook claims are held by the Minimoys (an teeny tiny African tribe who live in his backyard), he can raise the cash to save their house. Following instructions from the notebook, Arthur shrinks himself to Minimoy proportion and sets out on his quest which echoes ‘The Wizard Of Oz’ and the recent ‘Ant Bully’.
