Crooked Earth

Temuera Morrison (Once Were Warriors) plays a Māori soldier returning home to bury his father, the former chief of the Ngati Kaipuku iwi. Absent for 20 years, he does not hastily take his father's position, allowing his trouble-making brother Kahu (Lawrence Makoare, The Dead Lands) to take the role.
