I Am Belmaya

As a 14-year-old, a Nepali orphan named Belmaya discovers a passion for filmmaking; only to have her camera confiscated at the girls’ home she lives in.  Seven years later, unhappily married and living in poverty in her conservative mountain village, she is nonetheless still determined to make a better life for herself and her daughter.  When offered a second chance to pursue her dream, Belmaya jumps at the chance — but how will her husband and community react?
