Campy airborne comedy from Spanish auteur Pedro Almodóvar (Talk to Her). Crew members and passengers aboard a plane bound for Mexico are faced with the fact that the landing gear has failed and they are likely to plummet to their deaths.
As the plane circles over Spain, all aboard come to terms with their regrets which manifests in the form of binge-drinking, pill popping and sexual acts one shouldn't attempt with their seatbelt fastened. Almodóvar regulars Antonio Banderas and Penelope Cruz make cameo appearances.
While most famous for his critically-acclaimed dramas, I'm So Excited is a throwback to Almodóvar's earlier, raunchy comedies like Law of Desire (1987) and Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! (1990).
