In this film noir crime thriller a disillusioned ex-GI visits Key Largo to pay his respects to his former comrade's father and widow. He finds the family's run-down hotel closed for the season and overrun by gangsters looking to seek shelter from an approaching hurricane.
As the hurricane brews overhead and tempers flare, Frank McCloud (Humphrey Bogart, The Maltese Falcon) reluctantly confronts infamous mobster Johnny Rocco (Edward G. Robinson, Double Indemnity) in an inevitable showdown. Directed by John Huston (Prizzi's Honor), Key Largo also stars Lionel Barrymore (It's a Wonderful Life) as wheelchair bound hotel owner James Temple and Lauren Bacall (How to Marry a Millionaire) as the widow.
