Drama based on the memoir of Helga Schneider, a woman whose mother abandoned her as a toddler to become a concentration camp guard at Auschwitz.
Set in 2000, Let Me Go explores the cumulative effect of Helga's abandonment by her mother, Traudi, when she was just four years old. When Helga receives news that Traudi is nearing death, it is with her granddaughter Emily that Helga shares the truth. Emily volunteers to accompany her to Vienna to meet the great-grandmother she thought was dead, and experience the unraveling of the darkest of family secrets.
