Owen Wilson, Jennifer Aniston and Alan Arkin star in the adaptation of the New York Times best selling autobiographical book by American journalist John Grogan (played by Wilson). It's about The Grogan family - who wrestle with life's ups and downs while also trying to tame their loveable but disobedient labrador, Marley. Director David Frankel's previous efforts include The Devil Wears Prada. Screenwriters Scott Frank and Don Roos are industry veterans, with Frank a former Oscar nominee.
