Mohammad is a 26-year-old Muslim asylum seeker, a detainee at Tasmania's first detention centre, while Mary is a staunchly Christian pensioner - not welcoming of the nearly 400 new residents, mostly from Afghanistan. The unlikely pair strike up a friendship in this documentary, after Mary's knitting club donates woollen beanies to the centre. Mary finds her beliefs challenged as her relationship with Mohammad deepens.
