Counter-culture classic from 1984 follows punk rocker Otto (Emilio Estevez) who navigates the strange world of car repossession in L.A. as a protege to Bud (Harry Dean Stanton). From director Alex Cox and featuring a classic punk soundtrack.
After Otto walks out on his dead-end grocery job he teams up with Bud, an old hand at the repo game and a source of great advice, dispensing wisdom drawn from "the repo code" as the pair liberate cars back from their deadbeat owners. Otto adjusts quickly to this speed-snorting, gun-toting world, but a glow-in-the-dark Chevy Malibu that Bud sees as his big payday brings them into contact with strange and violent characters. With a soundtrack that includes a theme by Iggy Pop and songs from Black Flag, Suicidal Tendencies, Fear, Circle Jerks and more.
