A regular entry on 'worst films ever made' lists, this 1964 sci-fi comedy directed by Nicholas Webster and starring John Call tells the story of a Santa Claus kidnapped by Martians in order to inspire and entertain Martian children.
Upset that the children of Mars have become obsessed with TV shows from Earth which extol the virtues of Santa Claus, Martian ruler Kimar (Leonard Hicks) orders the kidnapping of Santa Claus (John Call) himself, hoping that the he will know how to cheer the children up again. But two Earth children are also nabbed, and this complicates things for Kimar. When they arrive on Mars, Santa, with the help of the two Earth children and a rather simple-minded Martian lackey, sets out to overcome the Martians by bringing fun, happiness and Christmas cheer to the children of Mars.
