This blend of psychological thriller and hardcore homoeroticism depicts a secluded French beach populated by men who skinny-dip in its lake and then head off to the nearby woods for anonymous hook-ups. But when one witnesses a murder, the setting's idyllic nature is altered - not that this will stop him embarking on an affair with the killer. Winner of Best Director in the Un Certain Regard section of the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.
On visits to the gay beach, Franck (Pierre Deladonchamps) develops an infatuation with Michel (Christophe Paou), but the dudes-only location becomes the backdrop to more brutal activities when he voyeuristically watches Michel drown a young man. This doesn’t deter Franck from striking up a sexual relationship with Michel, but the shadow of the murder will linger over their affair and lead towards further sinister events.
