Swedish comedy based on the 2009 novel of the same name, about the life and times of a dynamite expert and the unlikely events following his escape from an old folk's home on his 100th birthday.
On his 100th birthday, Allan Karlsson (Robert Gustafsson) sits quietly in his room in an old people's home, waiting for the party he-never-wanted-anyway to begin. The Mayor is going to be there. The press is going to be there. But, as it turns out, Allan is not… He climbs out of his bedroom window, into the flowerbed (in his slippers) and makes his getaway. As we get a glimpse into Allan's past, we discover that this centenarian has unwittingly played a part in some of mankind's most historical moments.
