The Extraordinary Voyage

Documentary on Georges Méliès' Trip to the Moon (1902) - the silent sci-fi adventure, featuring one of cinema's most iconic images in the rocket ship hitting the Man in the Moon - and its restoration after a colour print was discovered in 1993. Interview subjects, including directors Michel Gondry (Mood Indigo) and Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amélie), attest to Méliès’ enduring significance.
