Poet and playwright Aldo Braibanti is put on trial in 1960s Italy over the accuse of "plagio", a Fascist-era criminal offence, in this drama based on a true story.
Openly gay and a former Partisan, Braibanti is accused by his younger partner's parents of having brainwashed their son into Communism and homosexuality – for which they kidnapped and locked him in an insane asylum where he underwent electroconvulsive conversion therapy. Only one brave journalist accepts to represent Braibanti, vilified by the public opinion as a groomer.
