Shot with IMAX cameras in the exotic Asia-Pacific region - including The Great Barrier Reef, Southern Australia, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia - Under the Sea explores the ocean's most mysterious and unusual creatures and also attempts to investigate the impact of climate change on our ocean wilderness. Narrated by Jim Carrey.
Captured on film is the Stonefish (the world's most venomous fish), a new species of shark yet to be described by science, South Australia's exquisite Leafy Sea Dragon and the endangered puppy-like Sea Lion amongst others. Says director Howard Hall: "We've travelled to some of the most exotic locations on this planet, allowing us to film many creatures for the first time. Through IMAX 3D, audiences will be immersed fully into this amazing undersea world - a world which only a few of us lucky individuals really get to see up close."
