Vision Portraits

Award-winning US filmmaker Rodney Evans contemplates his loss of vision, meeting fellow artists and seeking to understand how they too deal with a loss of sight.

"Evans explores what it means to be a working visual artist who is also visually impaired, cleverly using multicoloured images and abstract animations to represent his experience. In this very personal and moving film he follows three creatives as they discuss how they manage life, work and their disability through art. Dancer Kayla Hamilton, writer Ryan Knighton and photographer John Dugdale reveal how they find new ways to reimagine and create.
