2012 BAFTA Winners
We’ve already had the Golden Globes, now it’s the British equivalent – The BAFTAS (and the second of the big three – the Oscars are next on Feb 26th). Originally founded in 1947, the ceremony’s winners are decided by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts to reward the best work of any nationality seen on British cinema screens during the preceding year.
Winner of the BAFTA Fellowship prize (lifetime achievement) went to the man, Martin Scorsese. And the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema award went to John Hurt.
