Australian box office report: concert titan André Rieu almost dethrones Bullet Train
Brad Pitt action flick Bullet Train has taken advantage of the slow week at the box office to secure its fourth week at the number one spot. Nope, which was running after it for the past two weeks, has fallen off the tracks and dropped to fifth place.
Meanwhile, after a spotty few years dealing with the pandemic, concert film juggernaut André Rieu returns with a vengeance and secures second place (and almost a million bucks) with his 2022 Maastricht Concert experience Happy Days are Here Again.
New releases Beast and The Invitation failed to make a decent impression at this week’s box office, unfortunately. However, Top Gun: Maverick is still earning big bucks months after its release.
Here are the top 10 films at the Australian box office, August 26—August 31.
