Australian box office report: Elvis has entered the building with a $10 million opening weekend
The Australian box office is officially all shook up, with Baz Luhrmann’s characteristically lavish Elvis biopic rocketing to the number one spot. The film clocked $10.42 million in its opening week, although Minions: The Rise of Gru was closed behind, the family film grossing $9.43 million.
The colossally successful Top Gun: Maverick is still whooshing around in the Danger Zone, taking $8.35 million in its fifth week, bringing its cumulative total to a whopping $67.18 million. Meanwhile Jurassic World: Dominion landed in fourth spot, taking $4.96 million in its third week of release.
