Bob Odenkirk’s action hero debut Nobody is now on digital release
Everybody has a breaking point. For Liam Neeson, it was his daughter getting nabbed by French terrorists (fair enough). For John Wick, it was his dog (again, totally reasonable). For Harley Quinn, it was a fallen breakfast sandwich (show no mercy).
In the action-thriller Nobody, which is now on digital release, Bob Odenkirk plays the ‘nice guy’ in a ‘no more Mr Nice Guy’ premise, and we can’t wait to see him in full-fledged action hero mode.
Odenkirk’s probably best known for his sketch comedy in 90s cult sensation Mr Show and as the slimy lawyer Saul Goodman on both Breaking Bad and its (just as good!) spin-off Better Call Saul. Here, he’s playing an unassuming family man with a secret, which comes violently to the surface once his quiet life is threatened by a drug kingpin.
The trailer below doesn’t give away too many good kills or arse-kicking scenes, just setting up that even a ‘nobody’ can have hidden, freaky depths.
Odenkirk has clearly put in a lot of work to get in fighting shape for this demanding role, building muscle and combat skills with the same team behind Keanu Reeves’ performance as John Wick.
