Be Awesome: Help bring DCP to Christchurch cinema
Having secured the majority of our fundraising amount through successful funding applications, including a $120,000 funding boost from the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Trust, the NZFF Trust are now relaunching their Boosted campaign today with a smaller budget. Their goal is to bring Digital Cinema Projection (DCP) to the mighty Isaac Theatre Royal in Christchurch.
Their first fundraising campaign through Boosted raised $16,000 in public donations but this amount was refunded to the donors as they were unable to reach their ambitious target of $40,000 within the timeframe. So, they have set another target of $12,000 in the hopes of landing the goal.
If successful, it will go towards the project cost of getting state-of-the-art projectors, screens and audio systems for the Isaac Theatre Royal (ITR) in Christchurch.
As of writing, the campaign has reached almost half its goal with over 50 days left to achieve its goal. You can be awesome and help the Kiwi movie lovers of Christchurch get the cinema experience they deserve.

The ITR rebuild is scheduled for completion in 2014. If equipped for film it will become a multipurpose venue like that found in Auckland (Civic Theatre), Wellington (Embassy Theatre) and Dunedin (Regent Theatre). Read more about the fundraising campaign on their website.
Boosted, an online donation website established by The Arts Foundation, allows for tax deductions on any donation over $5.
