Melbourne’s iconic Astor Theatre is widening the audience of the upcoming documentary Pick of the Litter to accommodate humans and pooches alike.
Dog owners are invited to bring their four legged pals to a special screening of the film on Sunday February 17 at 4pm. The Astor are making no bones about their love of doggos.
Directed by Dana Nachman and Don Hardy Jr., Pick of the Litter is a documentary that follows a litter of puppies for two years, detailing their journey to become guide dogs for the blind.
At the time of publishing, the film is sitting on a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes approval rating, with 50 critics awarding it a thumbs up.
The Los Angeles Times called it “a complete delight” while The Sydney Morning Herald said it is “the perfect family film – especially if you’re looking for an antidote to Marvel and DC.”
