Celine Dion and The Breaker Upperers are in Australia at the same time and they absolutely need to meet
There are many reasons to watch the rambunctious comedy The Breaker Upperers, which arrives in Australian cinemas this week and stars New Zealand comedians Madeleine Sami and Jackie van Beek.
One of them is an already famous karaoke scene: a weird and wonderful rendition of Celine Dion’s It’s All Coming Back To Me. The scene has been described by Cinapse as “showstopping,” by The Guardian as “riotous” and by Screen Daily as “a pitch-perfect piece of comedy.”
As it turns out, Madeleine Sami and Jackie van Beek are in Australia at the same time as Celine Dion, who begins her tour of the country this week. Coincidence, or destiny? Either way the stars are aligned and the three absolutely need to meet.
The delightful comedians have put together a video professing their love for Dion and extending an invitation for them to hang out.
The Flicks team are 100% behind such a meeting. As is Russell Crowe, who sent out this tweet this morning:
Hey @celinedion , remember that time we met in the elevator at the @FourSeasons in LA?
Yeah. Me too.
Anyway, please see below .
The way Canadians are polite , New Zealanders are sincere .
These girls have a lot of love for you .
They made a movie.
Would you see it?
Regards,

Celine, if you’re reading this: you will become even more of a legend if you help make this happen. Please don’t make us beg!
