Disney Plus will launch in Australia on November 19
The highly anticipated streaming service from the House of Mouse now has an Australian launch date.
Disney Plus will kick off here on November 19, setting you back $8.99 per month (or $89.99 per year).
It will source movies and TV shows from various corners of the galaxy – plucking content from small, niche, art house brands such as Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic.
Just announced: #DisneyPlus is coming to Australia and New Zealand. Streaming from 19 November. More info: https://t.co/yeiHBP4yJK pic.twitter.com/tOg3ZOZK2D

Specific titles available on launch will include the live action Star Wars TV show The Mandalorian, the confusingly titled High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, the ‘you had us sold at Jeff Goldblum’ show The World According to Jeff Goldblum, a live action remake of Lady and the Tramp and 30 seasons of The Simpsons.
That, as they say, is a spicy meatball.
Disney Plus will be supported on devices including Apple products (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV) plus Android (phones, android TV devices, Chromecast), Xbox One and Playstation 4.
The November 19 release date is sooner than anybody thought. Australia will be one of the first five countries to experience the new platform.
