Demon Slayer, Japan’s highest grossing film of all time, will soon land in Australian cinemas
Even with the somewhat unwieldy title of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Movie: Mugen Train, a new anime sensation has rocketed to the top of the Japanese box office.
And after a staggering 12 weeks at #1, Demon Slayer will soon be coming to Aussie screens all across the country.
Tickets are now available for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Movie: Mugen Train. The film will screen in over 180 Australian cinemas from February 25; you can find session times here.
There’s even some IMAX and 4DX sessions, which should really transport your eyeballs to Demon Slayer‘s mystical, lyrically animated world.
The film began as a highly popular comic by mangaka Koyoharu Gotoge, which still boasts over 100 million copies in circulation across Japan. In 2019 the manga was adapted into a beloved TV series, and now that show has made it onto the big screen.
If you’re not already a fan of the Demon Slayer saga, the lively character design and slick animated action scenes in the trailer below are pretty tantalising anyways. And if you are an established fan, you’ll be keen to hear that this adventure follows Tanjiro and his squad as they investigate a series of disappearances on a dreamlike train journey.
Could they bump into some sick demons along the way? Maybe.
