How to watch Blink Twice in Australia
Blink Twice is screening in Australian cinemas from August 21.
What is Blink Twice about?
Co-written by Kravitz and E.T. Feigenbaum, Blink Twice puts us on a billionaire’s private island along with waitress Frida, who, along with her friend Jess, finds herself unexpectedly a part of tech mogul Slater King’s entourage on a luxurious getaway. It’s stunning ocean vistas, delicious food, tropical drinks and fun, until things start going awry.
It’s easy to lose track of time during a tropical getaway, but it’s pretty unusual to lose a whole person. So when Jess mysteriously vanishes and none of the other guests even remember her, Frida twigs that something is seriously wrong here. Is it a The Most Dangerous Game scenario, a riff on The Island of Doctor Moreau, or something even weirder?
The cast of Blink Twice
Naomi Ackie (Doctor Who) is Frida; Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development) is Jess; Channing Tatum (well, Deadpool & Wolverine lately, but you know him) is Slater King; Christian Slater (Heathers) is Vic, Slater’s right hand man; Simon Rex is Cody; Adria Arjona (Hit Man) is Sarah; Kyle MacLachlan (Dune—no, not that one) is Slater’s therapist, Rich; Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense) is Tom; and Geena Davis (The Long Kiss Goodnight) is Slater’s and put-upon assistant, Stacy.

Why we’re excited about Blink Twice
Continuing the recent slew of “eat the rich” genre efforts (Ready or Not, The Menu, Triangle of Sadness, etc etc), Blink Twice looks like it takes a big swing at the billionaire class. However it remains to be seen whether the born-wealthy Kravitz (when mum’s an actor and dad’s a rock star, you’re not exactly doing it tough) has the critical distance necessary to really skewer the affluent. Still, that’s a great cast, and the early reviews are generally promising.
