How to watch Feud: Capote vs the Swans in Australia
It’s all Tiffany diamonds and cold-blooded social manoeuvring as trash auteur Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story, Ratched) tackles the clash between celebrated author Truman Capote and the glitzy New York socialites who once lionised him. Yes, it’s the second season of Feud.

FEUD: Capote vs. the Swans
What is Feud: Capote vs the Swans about?
Based on the book Capote’s Women by Laurence Leamer, Feud: Capote vs the Swans sets its scene in 1970’s New York City, where the celebrated author Truman Capote is living the high life among the city’s society doyennes.
The cherubic, delightfully catty writer is beloved by all (more or less) thanks to his sharp wit and sharper tongue, until the publication of a chapter from his upcoming (and ultimately unfinished) novel shows that he’s been using their secrets and scandals as fuel for his fiction. Betrayed and bent on revenge, a core coterie (that’ll be the Swans of the title) set about ruining his reputation, with the aim of driving him out of their rarefied social milieu.
The cast of Feud: Capote vs the Swans
Naomi Watts is Babe Paley, the late and much-missed Treat Williams is Bill Paley, Diane Lane is Slim Keith, Chloë Sevigny is C. Z. Guest, Calista Flockhart is Lee Radziwill, Demi Moore is Ann Woodward, Molly Ringwald is Joanne Carson, and Tom Hollander as Truman Capote. Murphy’s casts are always absolutely stacked, and it’s a genuine pleasure to see so many brilliant female actors in one show. When’s the last time you saw Demi and Callista? It’s also worth noting this is Treat Williams’ final screen role.

Why we’re excited about Feud: Capote vs the Swans
Murphy is hit and miss, but when he’s on target he can’t be beaten for high-flying histrionics and bitchy battles of words. The cast is simply incredible, and the focus on Capote means this is another of Murphy’s investigation into the often hidden queer history of 20th century culture.
