Produced by Ridley Scott and starring Vikings‘ Travis Fimmel, Raised By Wolves looks like the best bits of Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome combined with some kick-ass Apple commercial you don’t quite understand the premise of. It’s shaping up to be one of 2020’s most epic and ambitious new series, and Australian genre fans don’t have to wait to get their grubby hands on it.
The show concerns two androids, Mother and Father, who are tasked with raising a precious group of human children as an ailing adult colony threatens to tear itself apart nearby. After the destruction of Earth, the series takes place on a brutal new planet, where religious battles and an ensuing great war have made things downright dystopian.
The show is now available for Binge subscribers in Australia. Australians can experience new episodes of Raised By Wolves at the same time as the US, landing on the platform each week. If you’re a sci-fi fan looking for something new, this could be a show worth checking out: it looks totally transporting, which might be something we all need right now.
