How to watch Sausage Party: Foodtopia in Australia
We honestly never considered whether the themes and lore of 2016’s horny food orgy/atheist rant Sausage Party were crying out for expansion, but they’re getting one anyway. Hey, it should be pretty funny.
When is Sausage Party: Foodtopia being released in Australia?
Sausage Party: Foodtopia is streaming in Australia exclusively on Amazon Prime video from July 11.
What is Sausage Party: Foodtopia about?
Following on from the events of Sausage Party, revolutionary hotdog sausage Frank has established a community, the titular Foodtopia, where he and his calorie-laden fellows can live far from mankind, having discovered that food exists to be eaten by humans, and also there is no afterlife. But after a series of natural disasters ravage Foodtopia, Frank realises they have to negotiate with humans in order to ensure their continued survival. But don’t worry, there will be dick jokes.
That all this flies in the face of the final scene in Sausage Party doesn’t matter because, for real, when did you last think about that movie?
The cast of Sausage Party: Foodtopia
The voice cast is packed with top-notch comedy talent, including Seth Rogen as Frank; Kristen Wiig as Brenda Bunson, his hot dog bun girlfriend; Michael Cera as deformed sausage Barry; David Krumholtz as Kareem Abdul Lavash, a, uh, lavash; Edward Norton as Sammy Bagel Jr., and you can probably figure that one out; Sam Richardson as Julius, an orange, yes, very droll; Scott “Diggs” Underwood as Gum, a wad of chewing gum in a wheelchair; Will Forte as Jack, a normal dude; and Natasha Rothwell, Yassir Lester and Grey DeLisle in yet-to-be-revealed roles. The series is created by Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Conrad Vernon.

Why we’re excited about Sausage Party: Foodtopia
Hmm. Sausage Party is one of those movies that people liked well enough in the moment (well, some did – it wasn’t universally beloved) but it certainly vanished from the collective consciousness pretty completely. This should be a laugh, but it’s hard to guess what it’s actually gonna be about.
