How to watch season 5 of Pearson family drama This Is Us in Australia
Five seasons into the celebrated family drama This Is Us, the Pearson family’s been through a lot. Without wanting to mention any spoilers, there’s been heartbreaking break-ups, retro flashback haircuts both terrific and terrible, intergenerational conflict, and a fatal encounter with a kitchen slow-cooker.
But how can this TV family make it through the effects of the COVID pandemic? As the masked-up trailer for season five suggests below, we’re about to find out. Fans of This Is Us can watch all of season five on demand via Google Play and Apple TV.
The season’s trailer kicks off with an emotionally devastating convo between two of the Pearson children, Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and Kevin (Justin Hartley).
After seeing them as sweet lil babies back in the 1970s, wearing hand-knitted ‘Big Three’ onesies, it’s pretty hard to hear Kevin say that the worst day of his life is when Randall was adopted into the family.
Over season five’s 16 episodes, the beef between brothers will hopefully come to an end. But between then we’ve got weddings, family secrets and Kate’s (Chrissy Metz) own adoption journey to enjoy.
As the upcoming sixth season will the last of This Is Us, Google Play and Apple TV are both good options for getting into the show’s existing seasons, before a tearjerking goodbye to the Pearson family sometime in the next year. Here’s a nice clip of the series’ actors celebrating their character’s shared birthday—it’s extremely cute to hear Brown admit that playing Randall has made him “a little bit more sweet.”
Birthdays are kind of a big deal around here. Watch the Big Three reflect on the past five years and five birthdays with the Pearsons. 🎂 pic.twitter.com/5cOGlDDwMI
