I couldn’t help but wonder about this first look at Sex and the City’s new chapter And Just Like That…
No Samantha? No problem: we’re getting by with three-quarters of the original Sex and the City cast in the upcoming series And Just Like That…, revisiting Carrie and co for the first time since those questionable feature film sequels.
The 10 episode program is currently in production in Carrie’s native New York City, but HBO has been kind enough to release one tantalising teaser image. It’ll have to keep us going for now until the revival screens on BINGE.
We can see relationship columnist Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) where she belongs, wearing something faintly ridiculous between besties Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon).
The trio are now billed as executive producers of the series, too, helping to navigate their characters through all the hilarity and complexity of middle-age. The previously announced cast includes Sara Ramírez, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson, Evan Handler, and of course Chris Noth as Mr Big.
If you’re only vaguely familiar with Sex and the City, you’re probably wondering where the fourth gal is; as we’ve reported, Kim Cattrall will not be reappearing as Samantha, making her absence one of the more exciting elements And Just Like That…will have to somehow work into their story of enduring female solidarity.
BINGE is where you can watch all six seasons of sex, fashion, and friendship in the original Sex and the City, as well as being the home of And Just Like That…once all ten episodes are filmed.
