Melbourne is about to get a dedicated Harry Potter store
Melbourne Harry Potter fans, you are about to lose some serious cash. We’re not referring to the Harry Potter stage show (which starts at the Princess Theatre in September) although anybody going to that is obviously going to come out a little lighter in the hip pocket.
We are referring to a dedicated Harry Potter store opening at the end of this month. The Store of Requirement is coming to Collingwood, commencing business July 31.
The shop will stock loads of absolutely essential, and in way useless items including cloaks, scarfs, figurines, potion kits, hats, wands, books, DVDs, jewellery and a tonne of accessories – from coasters to mugs to phone covers.
It will also feature Butterbeer on tap.
Harry Potter fans will be able to nerd out, big time. They’ll leave the shop having had several digits magically disappear from their bank accounts.
This is not the first Store of Requirement to launch in Australia. One has been open for business in Brisbane since launching in September 2017.
For all the Harry Potter nuts who don’t live in Melbourne or Brisbane: sucks to be you. Although we believe in your ability to find other ways to drain your bank account.
