Stalking the suburbs: how to watch You Season 3 in Australia
Even serial murderers and their Lady Macbeth brides need to settle down at some point. That’s just what Joe and Love are up to in the latest season of You, Netflix’s soapy thriller series, which just dropped 10 new episodes on October 15.
Netflix subscribers can check out all of You season 3 right now. But if you’ve winced and gasped at seasons 1 and 2, you already know how things are going to end: in Joe will fixate on a new love interest in the posh suburbs of Madre Linda, and promptly destroy her life.
The casting of teen rom-com idol Penn Badgley as an obsessive stalker has been a great decision from episode 1. The characters of You season 1 and 2 can’t hear his creepy, ASMR-friendly narration like we can: they just see his handsome face and assume he’s a good guy. But now, Joe is saddled with a wife and child. According to the trailer below, he’s determined to quit his stalking and slaying ways, in order to be a good man for his young family.
But what’s Love got to do with it? The Haunting of Bly Manor star Victoria Pedretti is deliciously unpredictable as Joe’s life partner in crime. Fans will just have to wait and see whether they’re meant to be, killing off their enemies and building a vegan bakery cleverly called A Fresh Tart…or, if Joe will snap and kill off the one woman who has ever understood him.
Each season of You has moved its blood-drenched satire to another locale: New York literary circles in season 1, superficial LA glam in season 2, and now, Silicon Valley snobbiness for the newest set of episodes. Lucky for us, season 4 of You has already been confirmed in the announcement below.
Without giving away any big spoilers, we can expect a more drastic move than ever for the upcoming fourth season. Can fatherhood really change Joe before then? Or at least keep his body count down to a sensible volume?
Now that You season 3 is finally out, fans are coming out of their glass cages and they’re doing just fine. You can join in on the fun via Netflix, or even check out the original novels by Caroline Kepnes…the book-obsessed Joe would be proud of you for doing so.
