Thank you TV gods: Killing Eve’s third season will premiere weeks earlier than expected
At a time when we need good TV more than ever before, BBC, iView and Stan have performed an act of dazzling mercy by announcing the early release of the third season of Killing Eve. Take and eat; this is Sandra Oh’s blood, given for you for the forgiveness of sins.
The seductive cat-and-mouse game will continue with season three, which was only meant to be released onto streaming platforms in mid-April. Instead, ABC iView will make the season debut available on April 13, the same airdate as the US, where the show is presented via BBC and AMC.
The trailer gives fans everything they need: a status update on the relationship between Eve and Villanelle and a slew of outrageous new outfits and disguises for Jodie Comer. The cliffhanger ending of the last season saw Sandra Oh’s Eve left for dead by Villanelle, and the first images of season three seem to hint that neither woman is doing great after the complicated, bloody ‘break-up’.
Twitter was understandably excited at the news, giving thanks for the worthy distraction at a moment when distraction is more valuable than ever.
