The international sleeper hit follows an impoverished Korean family who manage to scam their way into plum jobs working for a much more wealthy family. Forced to keep the fact that they’re related a secret from the oblivious Park family, the Kims fall headfirst into a web of deception and bizarre servitude, all leading to a conclusion which is at once hilarious and bleak.
Stan‘s chief content officer Nick Forward confirmed that the film’s streaming release on Easter Sunday was a bit of an early gift, saying: “Just two months after its historic Best Picture Oscar win, Stan is pleased to be making this acclaimed masterpiece from South Korean director Bong Joon-ho available early to all Stan subscribers this Easter.”
It’s on 4k. It won four Oscars, including Best Director, Best International Feature, Best Original Screenplay, and—duh—Best Picture.
