Mr. Robot: Season 4 (August 1)
Despite concluding back in 2019, the final season of this twisty cyber-thriller series is only available on Stan this month: fans who haven’t already hacked into illegal methods of watching should be stoked. It’s the role that put future Oscar-winner Rami Malek on the map, eerily convincing as an anti-social computer genius yanked into a dark conspiracy by anarchist collective fsociety. There’s turns you certainly won’t see coming, and an absorbing cast that grows to include Bobby Cannavale, BD Wong, and Christian Slater as the man who might be pulling the strings of this web of chaos.
Billions: Season 7 (August 12)
It’s the seventh and final season of this high-finance, high-tension drama series, and Damian Lewis’s rogue hedge-fund manager Bobby “Axe” Axelrod is back to say goodbye after a well-timed escape to Switzerland for season six. The always-great Paul Giamatti has been a steady hand at the tiller since then, but Axe’s return should bring things together for an explosive finale—just how many more career-destroying, account-emptying secrets about this nasty batch of rich folks can possibly be outed?
Spice Girls: How Girl Power Changed The World (August 13)
During the height of the 1990s bubblegum pop craze, five British hopefuls taught the world that girl groups didn’t need to all be conventionally beautiful and dress the same…they could be conventionally beautiful and all dress like one distinct facet of feminine beauty! Any 90s baby is certain to come away from this docuseries with a renewed appreciation for the chart-topping group—and more importantly, a heap of insanely catchy pop songs stuck in their head. Call me Paul Atreides because I’m cravin’ some spice.

Cyrano (August 4)
Big-hearted, flouncily-costumed, and with a few truly moving tunes from sad indie band The National, this lush adaptation of the classic play Cyrano de Bergerac casts Peter Dinklage as its tragic poet. Sure, he opts for that kinda talk-singing that Rex Harrison introduced to movie musicals, but as with many aspects of Joe Wright’s frilly, somewhat messy romance, his heart is absolutely in the right place. You already know the story, too: about a brilliant, but conventionally unattractive, wit who must speak through a handsome idiot to get closer to the object of his affection, the brilliant Roxanne (Haley Bennett).
13 Going On 30 (August 25)
Call it Suddenly 30, call it 13 Going On 30, I don’t care. As long as you call it what it truly is: an exuberant, joyful 2000s-era rom-com with a wise perspective on the foibles of growing up and selling out. Jennifer Garner plays an 80s teen suddenly awoken in the body of her 30-year-old self, with the flash apartment, killer magazine job, and empty values to prove it. Reconnecting with her nice guy high school crush Mark Ruffalo could be the key to ensuring she gets the grown-up future her child self has envisioned.
